Job Description/Interests
Highly skilled in the black art of instrument repair and coaxing.

Charles is responsible for maintaining the department's instruments, developing and writing procedures for general usage, and for helping to teach undergraduates to learn the basics of operation. He is responsible for tuning and shimming both our 300 and 500 MHz NMRs and ordering compressed gases and cryogens. He helps both students and faculty with specific instrumentation needs or problems. Since he is a trained chemist, he is also helpful in designing and interpreting experiments.
